What’s New in Oracle Commerce Cloud 19A

What’s New in Oracle Commerce Cloud 19A

Oracle has released version 19A of Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC).  This new release is packed full of new features which supports Oracle’s market leading position for cloud commerce.

“Oracle Commerce Cloud has really matured as a product and is now a truly viable product for larger enterprise players” Gerald Heath, CTO. “Oracle’s API led offering provides a robust, flexible, and extensible cloud commerce platform with all the features you would expect”

Some of the new feature highlights included with latest 19A release are:

Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS).  This feature provides retailers the ability to sell store products from the online channel and has all the supporting functionality you would expect, including inventory management.

Stored Credit Cards.  Customers can save their credit card information making it easier to checkout.  The card information is secure and fully PCI compliant.

Search Improvements.  Boost and bury can be applied dynamically to specific search terms or to a search-driven collection (category) page.  Facets which are used to facilitate guided navigation can now be ordered by merchandisers.

Content and Experience Cloud (CEC) Integration.  Customers who use both Oracle Commerce Cloud and Oracle Content and Experience Cloud is now multi-site aware, allowing content to be tailored to a particular site. This includes new API endpoints; content item widget; and content item layout.

Experiments Improvements. Widget-based experiments can now use custom goals in addition to the previously-enabled out-of-the-box metrics. A new goal type called “Commerce Events” has been enabled for all experiment types. These custom events effectively removes previous limitations on what can be tracked as a goal and is a powerful functionality addition to the native testing capabilities.

There are a whole host of additional features included with this release and more information on these can in the Oracle Commerce Cloud Release 19A documentation.

If you have any questions about Oracle Commerce Cloud or how to make the most of these new features, please contact us at info@mcfadyen.com and we’ll be happy to help.
